As of this month, we are happy to announce that all our monthly newsletters will be posted online. We also added a Stepping Stones photo gallery on our website. If you see a picture of your child and would like to have it, please let us know and we can email it to you.

Welcome to our new teacher Mrs. Raj who  will be helping in every room.

Last month, our staff had a workshop about emergent curriculum. This workshop provided us with additional ideas on how to program plan for different ages.

Please note that the daycare will be closed on Friday April 6th and Monday April 9th. Have a nice long weekend.

Cubby Room

We would like to welcome our new friends Alia and Lyla. We will have lots of fun together. Farewell to Tobi who is going to stay home with his mom.

In April we will be learning about Easter and animals, read stories about bunnies and chicks, and learn different animal sounds.

Aaliyah, Mackenzie, Kiana and Lucas are all starting potty training.

The weather is very nice and we will be going outside to our playground every day.

Teddy Room

Happy birthday this month to Ashton, Sean and Faith.

Easter is coming and we will be making lots of crafts having to do with farm animals, rain, and umbrellas.

Children will be learning all about Easter, decorate Easter eggs for crafts, and read stories.

Every day, children are playing with play-dough which is very good for fine motor development.

Communication is very important, so if you have any questions or concerns, please talk to the staff.

Please don’t forget to check our white board for information about nap times, potty time, and appetite.

Panda Room

Happy birthday this month  to Jacob, who will be celebrating his 4th birthday in April.

The Panda room activities, planning, menus, and all the things you need to know about your children’s daily activities are available and located on Panda’s Bulletin Board.

The Interest Wall is also posted with your children’s interests.

This month we will sing more new songs, talk about interesting things, play and learn more games.

Grizzly Room

We would like to welcome Ruby to our room. Happy birthday to Lucas and Dryden this month. We say farewell to Daniel this month.

This month we will be learning about Easter, rain and Earth week. Crafts will be related to these themes. Every week we have activities such as tracing and connecting numbers and letters.

I Included “Number” and Alphabet practice  in my weekly planning. This will be a big help for preparation to kindergarten. Please take a look at our Grizzly Room Interest Wall.

The weather is unpredictable, so please dress your child appropriately. Grizzly Room children who are attending kindergarten this year are starting to spend some time in the Polar Room (BAS) before their big move in the summer.

Polar Room

We would like to say a farewell to O’Brien.

In the Polar Room the children really enjoy dancing. We have some really great dancers.

Very often, children are performing a play. They dress up in different costumes and invite children from the Grizzly Room to watch the show.

They like to do science experiments, such as volcanoes, magnets, etc.

Children enjoy mixing all ingredients and making different colors of play dough.

We are pleased to announce our Hot Lunch Program.

As of now we are providing a hot lunch every day. Not only do children love it, but it really does offer healthy options. This program goes through a four week rotation of menus.
